Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to record a meeting?

It depends where you are. Many Australian states and other jurisdictions require the consent of some or all participants before recording a private conversation. Getting any required consent is your responsibility — we recommend simply telling everyone the meeting is being recorded. See our Terms for detail.

Where is my audio stored, and for how long?

Audio is stored encrypted in Australia and automatically deleted 30 days after upload. Your transcript and minutes are kept until you delete the meeting or your account. More in the Privacy Policy.

How much does Recdr cost?

Recdr is free to use while in early access.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Record straight from your browser at recdr.com/record, or install it as an app ("Add to Home Screen") for a full-screen experience. A native mobile app is also available.

What if I lose signal while recording?

Recording keeps working offline. The upload resumes automatically when you reconnect, and if an upload fails you can retry it or download the audio — so a recording is never silently lost.

How accurate are the AI minutes?

Minutes are AI-generated and can be inaccurate or mis-attribute speakers. Always review them before relying on or sending them. You can edit the transcript and regenerate the minutes.

Is my data used to train AI?

No. We don't use your recordings, transcripts or minutes to train AI models, and we use transcription endpoints for which the provider states content isn't used for training.
